About me

​I’m Derval, a life and career coach turned embodiment-based transformation coach. After a decade working in Human Resources supporting people through the challenges and changes of working life I trained as a Life & Career coach where I worked for 10 + years in both France and here in Ireland. Keen to go further and support change in my clients even more, I discovered Embodied Transformation Coaching. This approach to coaching moved me in a way nothing else had. It was like the missing piece. The blend of the mind and the body to bring about profound change. I experienced the impact of it first hand and feel excited to offer it to others.​ I work with people who are navigating change, whether in life, career, identity or inner direction. Some feel disconnected or out of sync, some are facing burnout or big decisions and others just have a quiet sense that something’s not working—that there’s more to who they are and how they want to live.​ Often they’ve already tried to figure things out, read the books, made the lists, tried to think their way through but the same patterns keep showing up. They’re ready for something different. Not more pushing or perfecting. Not someone to tell them what to do. But a space to tune in, get curious, and reconnect with themselves in a new way.​ This isn’t traditional coaching. It’s not goal-setting alone or mindset work in isolation. It’s a mind-and-body-based approach that invites in a deeper level of self-awareness and transformation.​ To "be embodied" is to live with more presence, clarity and connection, not just in your mind, but in your whole self. In our work together, you’ll learn how to listen to your body as well as your thoughts, so you can respond to life with more confidence, ease and grounded direction.​​​We move from overthinking and self-doubt to deeper self-trust, presence and inner leadership. From feeling stuck or being in survival mode to a more spacious, sustainable way of showing up in work, in life and in who we truly are.

My Approach

What is embodied transformation coaching?

It’s coaching—but deeper. Grounded in the understanding that real, sustainable change doesn’t just happen in the mind. It lives in the body.

Embodied transformation coaching blends somatic (body-based) awareness, nervous system support and meaningful reflection to help you shift patterns from the inside out.

 

Instead of just staying in your head, this approach invites you to slow down and notice what’s happening in your body—tension, sensations, emotions, signals. These hold valuable information about what’s driving your choices, habits and beliefs.

We work together to create more space between reaction and response, helping you feel more grounded, clear and connected to yourself. Over time, this allows you to show up with more confidence, presence and alignment—in work, relationships and everyday life.

You don’t need to know how to do that already. I guide you through grounded, practical ways to tune in. It's coaching that supports you to come back into connection with yourself.

You’ll build the capacity to:

  • Trust your own inner knowing

  • Set boundaries without guilt

  • Reclaim confidence that’s been buried

  • Lead and live in a way that feels more like you

Derval did an intro session on Embodiment Coaching and it immediately drew me in & felt like the missing piece of the puzzle. It was that bit that other coaching, counselling and therapy hadn't reached, it was that seemingly unreachable bit that connected the words, feelings & actions with my body, so I engaged with Derval for 1:1 sessions. I've always been very self-aware & reflective but through this practice, Derval taught me how to connect so that future events had a very different outcome or even had the potential to pan out differently using the grounding and centring skills I practiced through her guidance. What sessions feel like

 

We slow things down, we work with your thoughts but also invite in the body’s wisdom and explore what’s  going on beneath the surface. It’s not about fixing or forcing—it’s about meeting yourself in a new way. You can expect tools that support nervous system regulation, somatic inquiry and intuitive clarity. Over time, you’ll start to trust your inner knowing more and more, soften the inner critic and move forward in a way that feels more natural and true.

If you’ve tried to make changes before, read the books, done the courses, pushed yourself but it hasn’t quite stuck, you’re not alone.


This work meets and supports you exactly where you are. It’s for people who are open to trying something new, something different, something deeper, who are ready to shift from just coping or overthinking into real, embodied change. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just need to be open, willing and curious and I’ll walk with you from there to help you find new ways of being that feel right and aligned to you.
